What We Believe
Our church believes:
- The Old and New Testament scriptures are the words of God, revealing His complete plan of salvation for mankind, it is the ultimate standard by which believers and the church by which to live.
- The one and only ever-present triune God in the persons of the Holy Father, Holy Son and the Holy Spirit.
- The Holy Father is the almighty Father, Lord and Creator of heaven and earth.
- The Holy Son Jesus Christ, He is truly God and truly man, born by the virgin Mary through the Holy Spirit, was crucified, died and was buried, the third day rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now seated on the right hand side of the Father's throne and will one day judge the living and the dead.
- The Holy Spirit is the third person in the Trinity, He is the same essense to the Father and the Son, with the same power, and existence. He allowed man to know their sin, to be born again and He dwells in believers' heart, allowing them the power to live a consecrated life and to serve God.
- Mankind was created in the image of God, in Adam we have fallen into sin and need God's grace and salvation. All sinners who repent, rely on the grace of God are born again, and will be counted righteous through their faith in Christ Jesus. The righteous will have a bodily resurrection into eternal life, but the unrighteous will be raised for judgement.
- The church is the unity of all born-again believers through the Holy Spirit, with Christ as their head, through worship and fellowship, evangelism and service to do good works that God prepared beforehand for us to do.
